Inductions
Use of the workshop is secured by completion of a general workshop and safety induction – this is free, takes about 1 hour 20 minutes, and can happen on your first PAYG booking.

A 1800 x 2500 bay – with a 500 x 1000mm workspace on the main workshop floor with 2 x 13amp socket and 1 x 16amp socket single phase power. This space has ground-level access.

Outdoor
Outdoor Bay with Machine Access

A 4.5 m x 3 m workspace outside the workshop door, large enough to accommodate an extra long wheelbase van. Step-free access to the workshop. Portable lighting can be provided on request.

If working indoors at a standing bench is useful for part of your Outdoor Bay session, this Fabrication Bay bolt on gives you affordable flexibility.

Yeti-Tool CNC Smart Bench with V-Carve Pro
Please note – you must pass our days induction training and/or hardware assessment before gaining access to the CNC machine. The workshop staff will be there to support you until you reach a point at which you can operate the Yeti by yourself, usually within the first three sessions!

Paint and Finishing
Paint and Finishing
The paint floor is accessed by 2 flights of stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. We can accommodate painting and finishing in the ground floor fabrication bays if required. Please call the office to arrange this: 0131 555 6866.
The hire of space on the paint floor is for one person. Another can join you for a small supplement. Please consider how you will work safely.

5m x 5m paint floor on the workshop mezzanine floor, available in any size combination, up to 5m x 5m.

Paint Bench
Hire of a 2 m x 1 m bench on the workshop mezzanine floor.

Spray Booth
A 4 x 4 m (sloped roof) spray booth with filtered air system. Suitable for water based and light aerosol use. The spray booth is up one flight of winding stairs, and so it is best suited to medium sized wood based projects
- We have a limited stock of spray accessories. If you need access to these, drop us an email after booking.

Two Available
A 100 cm x 60 cm desk and chair with a straight stitch machine with step-free access. You are welcome to bring your own machine. If it is more than 2 years old, it will need to have passed an electrical safety test. Call the office and we can arrange that for you 0131 555 6866.

Machine Access
Access to the fabric machinery is included, but you must complete an hardware assessment before using it for the first time. If you are new to any of these machines, and require training, contact us to book an Advanced Induction: [email protected].

Pack down your project, tools and materials; pop them on a pallet or shelf. We also have storage container options for your bigger items – whether this be EOW project based or not. Access is within EOW opening hours. To book or enquire about storage options, please email JJ at [email protected].

All plans come with access to our staffed reception area for deliveries, and our dedicated member’s area, forum, and business directory.
*£20 deposit is required for access keycards.
EOW runs a discretionary hardship fund. If you cannot afford the concessionary rate at this time, please email [email protected] to discuss options.
EOW Membership: must be 18+ to register for an account.
Additional Worker: must be 16+ to attend the workshop and under the direct supervision of an EOW Member who is their parent/guardian/carer. They can use hand tools, and assist with work but cannot be left as the sole worker, and do not have access to any machinery.
EOW Classes & Workshops: must be 18+ OR 14+ participating with a parent/guardian/carer. Secondary age restrictions may be dependent on course/workshop and or instructors requirements, these will be made clear in the course description.
